Research says –The brain of the elderly is more creative than younger

The director of the George Washington University School of Medicine claims that the brains of older people are much more practical than is commonly believed. At this age, the interactions between the right and left hemispheres of the brain become harmonious, opening up creative possibilities. For this reason, many people over the age of 60 have just started creative activities and are full of individuality.
Of course, the brain is not as fast as it was when we were young. However, it gives you more flexibility. Therefore, as we age, we are more likely to make the right decisions and are less exposed to negative emotions. The peak of human intellectual activity is around the age of 70 when the brain begins to function at its maximum.
Over time, the amount of myelin in the brain, a substance that facilitates the rapid flow of signals between neurons, increases. This makes him 300% better than average in intellectual capacity.
The fact that after 60 years one can use two hemispheres at once is also interesting. This allows us to solve much more complex problems.
Professor Monchi Uri of the University of Montreal believes that older people's brains choose the path that consumes less energy, eliminating unnecessary things and leaving only the right options to solve problems. A survey was conducted with different age groups. People over 60 made the right choice, whereas younger people were very confused when they passed the test.

Characteristics of the elderly brain

·         Neurons in the brain don't die, as people say. The connection between them simply disappears if one does not engage in spiritual work.

·         Information overload leads to distraction and forgetfulness. So all your life you don't have to focus on unnecessary trifles.

·         After age 60, both hemispheres make decisions, rather than using one at the same time as young people do.

The Bottom Line

If a person leads a healthy lifestyle, is physically active, and is mentally active enough, intellectual capacity does not decline with age, and simply grows and reaches its peak around the age of 80-90.
So don't be afraid of getting old. Strive for intellectual development. Learn new crafts, make music, learn to play an instrument, paint, dance, and participant in creative activities. Take an interest in life, meet and communicate with friends, make plans for the future, and travel as much as possible. Do not forget to go to shops, cafes, and concerts. Do not lock yourself up - it is destructive for everyone. Live with thoughts all good things are still ahead of me.
