Apple will unveil the new iPadOS 16 and macOS Ventura on October 24

Apple plans to release iPadOS 16 and macOS Ventura on October 24, the company confirmed recently, among other announcements. Switching between apps becomes easier. The feature was previously only compatible with the M1-equipped iPad Air and last year's 11-inch and 12.9-inch iPad Pro models, but it's also available on the 3rd & 4th generations iPad Pro models.

Users can drag and drop side windows or launch apps from the dock to create groups of apps. Stage Manager automatically organizes apps and windows. The window of the app the user is working on appears in the center, with other open apps and windows on the left ordered by the newest first.

This feature also works on macOS Ventura and creates a sort of sidebar where the rest of your open apps reside. Windows is organized by stacks, and cluttered desktop files fade into the ether. When the window is minimized, it goes to this left sidebar instead of the toolbar.

macOS Ventura also has a feature called Continuity Camera, which allows you to use your iPhone as a webcam on compatible devices by downloading Ventura on macOS and iOS 16.

Apple also announced that the new M2 iPad Pro will launch on  October 26th. The iPad Pro gets a spec update that revolves around upgrading from the M1 to the M2 chip. The new processor has 8 CPU cores and a 15% performance increase. The GPU features 10 cores and a 35% speed gain, according to Apple. A new iteration of the company's entry-level iPad was also disclosed.
