Whatsapp Feature |
WhatsApp, the popular instant messaging platform, offers new features
all the time. Meta's messaging app is currently working on an update allowing users to send text messages in chat
on connected devices.
If you want to quickly save important information for
later use, it would be nice to be able to send yourself a text message. Unfortunately,
chat is restricted to the primary device only and will not appear on
linked devices. That's why WhatsApp is developing this new
feature that allows users to message themselves on multiple
devices.
Chats can be searched in the list like any other
contact or group. When you log in from another device, chats
saved in the database will appear at the top of the list
and be named "You". You can send yourself a
message by tapping "You" to open your private chat.
Deleting a message from the primary device also deletes it from the
other devices. Deleting chats and other media from your primary device also
deletes them from your linked device. On iPhone, you
can view live locations, create lists, and broadcast on all linked
devices.
The ability to connect to yourself with WhatsApp is one of the missing components of the platform. However, according to WABetaInfo's report, that could change soon. “Similarly, when the component will be pushed to people soon, he will see this chat when he tries to log into his WhatsApp from another phone.”

This feature allows users to restore deleted messages by clicking
the Undo option. However, there are pitfalls. Users can click the Delete Me
button instead of Delete Everyone to restore only messages they have deleted.
